This demo is a static demonstration only. The gateway and Echelon e-meter are powered on however they are not connected together to a display interface.  Whilst these are fully functioning units we legitimately ran out of space on the wall to show the remainder of the demo and instead they represent “finished goods” that can be commercially purchased.

Value Propositions

The Develco Products multiprotocol ‘’ Gateway (GW) is a low-cost modular platform for flexible Home Area Networks.

It is a programmable Linux gateway box running Java & OSGI based on a NXP i.MX28.

The GW can handle many different wireless protocols, e.g. ZigBee, Z-Wave, Wireless M-Bus, and WiFi.

The GW can be equipped on the WAN side with Ethernet, GPRS, 3G, WiFi, or a custom module.

Delivered with a BSP and an SDK for customers to design their end applications.

Designed to allow you to connect your Home Automation system with your alarm system, or with a Smart Metering system regardless of brand or technology.

The Develco Products M-Bus module is designed to retrofit to existing meters to make them “smart” and allow remote reading of meter values. Equally it could be designed into the meter hardware.
