RFID tags in many physical formats provides for easy non-contact inventory tracking.

NXP Content:

NXP provides the UHF chip UCODE 7 which is a crucial part of an RFID label. An RFID label is put on apparel items so that they can be read over distances of a few meter, hundreds at a time, which poses a significant advantage over bar code technology.

NXP Recommends:

NXP UCODE7 is the flagship part of NXP’s long range UHF RFID product family. It enables cutting edge read range for scanning retail items which makes identifying and locating items more reliable and thus improves inventory and supply chain accuracy. This leads to a sales increase of up to 14% for the retailer.

Short Demo Description:

Apparel items equipped with (UHF) RFID Tags. The tags consist of an antenna (aluminum structure on PET) and the heart of the label, the chip: UCODE 7.

Value Propositions

* Long read range enabling high and reliable reads rates.

* Broad band behaviour enabling the global tag - same UHF tag can be used across different regions whilst providing consistent performance.

* UCODE 7 allows for smaller label designs that meet the retailers’ requirement as well as  Auburn certification.
