Description:

This demo shows NXP’s IOT climate control system built around a ZigBee Pro wireless network supporting the Home Automation profile. It includes a climate manager used to control the temperature in multiple rooms, two rooms equipped with actuators and thermostats to monitor and control each room’s climate independently. The system uses Near Field Communication (NFC) to commission ZigBee end devices in a network. This allows the end user to have a leaner experience with the commissioning mechanism and allows more flexibility in configuring the smart home network. The demo includes a Smart Plug device and a Smart RGB bulb, both incorporating NFC technology. Finally an android application, running on an NFC enabled phone is used to configure and operate the system.
