What is this clinic?
This virtual software clinic is designed to bring together embedded software training and support with our NXP Systems Engineers in an engaging online interaction.
This software clinic will allow you to explore NXP's eIQ ML Software Development Environment using the i.MX RT1060 platform. It will include a few lab guides to use while exploring the software. You will need to use your own NXP i.MX RT evaluation board (discount coupon provided below) and LCD Display (details further below).
What will I learn?
This lab will cover how to take an existing TensorFlow model that classifies images, how to retrain it on new data, and how to use the eIQ software platform to deploy the model on a i.MX RT1060 device. The lab will make use of the camera and LCD interfaces found on the i.MX RT1060 device for inference input. Optionally, you can complete a modified lab without the camera and/or LCD interface.
What is eIQ?
NXP's eIQ software is a machine learning (ML) software development kit that enables the use of ML algorithms on embedded systems. eIQ ML software has been optimized and deployed for use on NXP i.MX RT crossover processors and i.MX applications processors and includes inference engines, neural network compilers, and optimized libraries.
For i.MX RT crossover processors, eIQ ML software is fully integrated in and delivered by the MCUXpresso SDK and features the TensorFlow(TM) Lite inference engine and CMSIS-NN kernels for Cortex-M cores. eIQ software makes it easy to run your trained ML models on edge devices and manages all ML software dependencies.
